Welcome To Westside Park Elementary School

Westside Park Elementary School, next to Westside Park in Adelanto, is a California Distinguished School that has unique architecture, a diverse and well-qualified staff, and a caring, safe and rigorous learning environment for its students. Westside Park's mascot is the Wildcat, and holds a student population of over 500 students.

Red Ribbon Week: The nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign!

We are excited to announce AESD Red Ribbon Week will take place October 25- 29, 2021! All of our schools will participate in promoting a drug-free life and bringing awareness to the dangers of drugs. Our week-long Spirit Day Themes are as follows:

AESD to Launch New Program to Promote Reading, Slogan Contest for Students

We know and understand the importance of reading by third grade, but we want to get the message out to everyone, plus reading is just fun! We want to help create a community of readers in AESD! The Plan is to have ongoing activities, contests, reading challenges, special reading events, and so much more!!

We are looking for a creative and fun slogan to launch the “AESD Read” campaign. We know our students are creative and talented. The contest to create a slogan is open to all AESD students in TK-8. Parents: You are invited to the Community Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting

Wednesday, October 27, from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. (English and Español)

The Community Advisory Committee is made up of parents, special and general education teachers, psychologists, consultants, students with disabilities, and representatives from private and public agencies. A majority of members are parents. This group advises the District on the educational needs of students with disabilities and helps to secure appropriate services for each individual. The CAC is a place where parents and members of the community can discuss concerns and resolutions as they relate to the quality of special education programs in the community. Everyone is welcomed to attend!

Governor Newsom Announcement on K-12 COVID Vaccine for Students

On October 1, 2021, Governor Newsom announced that California will become first state in nation to announce COVID-19 vaccine will be added to list of required school vaccinations. Students will be required to be vaccinated for in person learning starting the term following FDA full approval of the vaccine for their grade span (7-12 and K-6).
