Assistant Principal's Message

Hello, I’m Carla Hamilton-Yates and I am overjoyed to work as the assistant principal of Westside Park.  I joined Adelanto Elementary School District in 2007 as a teacher at Adelanto Elementary School.  During my time in the district, I have discovered an increasing love for early literacy.  I served as a Literacy Specialist at George Visual and Performing Arts, served on various district committees and have been one of the biggest cheerleaders for our children.  I also served as an administrator in both the elementary and middle school levels within our district.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Arts Degree from the University of Redlands, where I majored in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership.

I believe that a collaborative school environment is the key to creating successful teachers and students. During my free time, I enjoy attending theatrical performances, volunteering for community organizations, and spending time with my family.

Sincerely,
Carla Hamilton-Yates
Assistant Principal
