Principal's Message

Welcome back to what will be an amazing 2022-2023 school year.

Westside Park Elementary School in Adelanto serves over 450 students. It is a California Distinguished School that has unique architecture, a diverse and well-qualified staff, and a caring, safe and rigorous learning environment for its students. The students have the opportunity to participate in AVID, coding, robotics, art, music and band. An afterschool program is available to support with homework and offers extracurricular activities. The Wildcats have earned a PBIS Gold award and have successfully created a safe learning environment.

Our focus is on Early Literacy and Mathematical Improvement and Development infused with Social Emotional Supports.

It remains an honored to serve as the Principal of Westside Park Elementary School. I have been in the field of education for the past 30 years. My professional experience has involved working with diverse populations of students including general education, gifted, English Language Learners, and special education students.

I have worked with District committees as well as parent committees and I am passionate about parent involvement. I have served as an EL Coordinator, as an Explicit Direct Instruction Coach and as a Writing Coach. Before serving in the Adelanto Elementary School District I held many positions in other districts such as, an intervention program teacher, bilingual teacher, and paraprofessional. I have a Master degree in Education and Educational Leadership. I enjoy swimming, dancing and traveling. I have an extensive experience as a leader and I am devoted to student achievement.

My vision as a principal is to provide a caring, safe and rigorous learning environment for the success of all students. I will work diligently to continue to provide a safe and excellent educational experience for the students of the Adelanto Elementary School District.
